Gledhill Thermal Store

Thermal stores are a way of running the heating and hot water systems in your home. Multiple heatsources can be combined into one system. For example you could combine an oil boiler and soild fuel heating system together, a solar thermal system and a gas heating system together or you could simply just have a boiler running the thermal store.

I would always recommened having a boiler as a primary method of heating the thermal store, that way you always know you can have heating and hot water a the touch of a button.

On this particular project we were replacing an existing thermal store, the existing thermal store was 30 years old! This isnt new technology. This system is run from oil boiler, I know it looks complex however this system is based on very simple operating principles.

Below are pictures of the finished project, this is the 210litre stainless steel store; and is best suited to medium and larger homes.
